LAS VEGAS -- Registration for the 2013 Amusement Expo is now open, according to an announcement by Brian Glasgow of W.T. Glasgow Inc., a trade show producer. "AAMA and AMOA are working hard to make the 2013 Amusement Expo bigger and better than ever," Glasgow said.
Next spring's Amusement Expo will be the fourth edition for the show that has united the long-running (and formerly separate) events sponsored by the Amusement and Music Operators Association and American Amusement Machine Association.
The merger of shows was designed to draw stronger attendance than its individual predecessors, and so far the first three have done so. The coin-op amusement and jukebox show also collocates with the National Bulk Vendors Association's exhibit and convention. Almost 1,400 buyers registered for the 2012 Amusement Expo, including those with the NBVA.
The 2013 show will be held from March 20 to 22, Wednesday through Friday, again at the Las Vegas Convention Center (Hall N1). The new exhibit hours are:
» Wednesday, March 20 | 12 noon-6 p.m.
» Thursday, March 21 | 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
» Friday, March 22 | 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
The big scheduling change will take place on the show's third and final day, when the exhibit closes at 1 p.m., rather than the customary 4 p.m. conclusion. A schedule of events for Amusement Expo can be seen by clicking here.
The Las Vegas Hotel, adjacent to the convention center, is the official headquarters of Amusement Expo. AE 2013 showgoers can get a special $115 room rate. Click here
Industry members can register for Amusement Expo online. A discount is available for those who register before Feb. 15. For AAMA and AMOA members, registration numbers can be used to obtain two free credentials; numbers will be mailed to members.
Separately, the AMOA and AAMA are teaming up again with Foundations Entertainment University for an educational program to be held in conjunction with Amusement Expo. | SEE STORY
