AMI, megatouch BRISTOL, PA -- Now available from AMI Entertainment Network Inc. is a new program update for operators who use its digital network. It's featured exclusively on AMI's Megatouch 2010 Ion software.

Called AMI Access, the program gives Megatouch operators control of their broadband-connected Ion touchscreen videogames through a browser running on a PC, wherever they happen to be, "as if they were right in front of the machine," the company explained. The new feature is available free for MegaNet Core and Premium MegaNet-registered equipment.

The offsite real-time control offered by AMI Access can save a trip by allowing the operator to adjust volume, change pricing and reprogram erotic settings, to mention a few. According to AMI software engineering vice-president Brennan McTernan, the whole idea of AMI Access is to make operators' lives easier.

MegaNet-registered operators can start using the new program after performing a few simple steps. The first is to log onto their page at amiaccess.com, using their MegaNet credentials. This brings up a list of their available machines, from which they choose the one they wish to review. Selecting it brings up its navigation screen, just as it would be seen by someone standing in front of the machine itself. The remote-control software offers a variety of navigable functions, including operator setup, rebooting the machine and disconnecting from it. Operators also can use this feature through accessmerit.com.

Information on the latest Megatouch 2010 software can be found online at amientertainment.com/games, by clicking on "Operator Access Panel.
