Location entertainment experts reveal the expanded Tap TV, video jukebox, and more
Philadelphia, PA, March 26, 2014 -- AMI Entertainment Network, the global leader in on-premise digital entertainment, showcased a slate of exciting new products and upgrades at the 2014 Amusement Expo in Las Vegas.
AMI kicked off the show with a special distributor breakfast with AMI Entertainment Network CEO Mike Maas, senior vice president of sales John Margold and chief creative officer A.J. Russo. The company gave its network of distributors a special sneak preview of the new AMI products, services and updates that were revealed at the show.
The biggest news was the reveal of the latest digital jukebox from AMI, the Continental. Available now, the AMI Continental jukebox delivers an exciting and dramatically compelling music video experience. The Continental includes a 24" horizontal touchscreen with a credit card reader and dual MEI bill accepters, three display panels, a VESA mount bracket, and a wall mount bracket. Patrons can purchase special music video content to play on the installed upper screen alongside their favorite songs and artists. The Continental comes on the heels of the highly successful AMI Music Video Upgrade Kit, released in early 2014.The upgrade kit is available now for NGX and NGX Mini jukeboxes.
AMI also announced some significant updates to its mobile app, AMI BarLink. BarLink users can now get access to bonus credits that can be used to play free music, much like the bonus credit feature currently available on AMI jukeboxes. Credits are tracked on the app over a timed period in a location, not within an individual transaction, and will remain in a patron’s account for use in the same location for up to 6 months. AMI BarLink will also soon offer Canadian support. These updates will be available in mid-April.
AMI revealed new channels and features for Tap TV, the interactive TV network designed exclusively for bars and restaurants. The new Tap TV Poker connects players to a nationwide Texas Hold’em competition featuring virtual tables of up to 8 players, bringing together local players and others across the network. Players view their cards and manage their wagers with the free Tap TV app, while TVs in the venue display community cards, bets, and hand results, plus fun poker tips and promotional ads.
Also new to Tap TV is Tap TV Excite, powered by the new AMI Ad Manager. Tap TV Excite will allow locations to transform their connected TVs into digital signage, displaying custom ads alongside hours of viral video content licensed from extreme athletes, trick-shot masters, and more. Tap TV Poker is currently in Beta testing and will be available in April. Tap TV Excite will be available soon.
In addition to the new products, AMI also unveiled updates to its operator website, including Ad Manager 2.0. This powerful promotional tool lets operators use their Tap TV and jukebox screens to display custom ads promoting their own events and specials. Creating a custom ad using Ad Manager 2.0 takes just a few minutes and gives operators control over the days of the week, hours of the day, and date range that the ad will display. Ads can be displayed on connected Tap TV units and AMI jukeboxes.
Tap TV operators will also soon be able to view reporting for their locations and players. These reports include popularity for each channel subscription (Trivia and/or Poker), player information, and detailed information and statistics broken down by game. Both updates will be available on www.amientertainment.net in April.
