HYPOLUXO, FL -- Benchmark Games, best known for its amusement redemption devices, has developed its first bulk vending machine line. The factory's Beat the Alienz and Beat the Monsters venders are scheduled to ship in the fourth quarter.
The two machines offer different themes on the same playfield system, a vertical substrate composed of seven ramps. A vended gumball travels down the ramps as aliens (or monsters) emerge from the back of the playfield to knock it down into the vend chute. If the gumball makes it all the way down the course and into the hopper, the machine dispenses up to three bonus gumballs.
Both machines measure 25" W. x 18" D. and 71" H., and weigh 115 lbs. They are electronic, so both have sound effects and LED lighting. The top hopper holds up to 850 gumballs, and the manufacturer suggests a 25¢ vend price.
"These machines offer a unique twist on kinetic gumball venders," said Benchmark's Anthony Maniscalco. "We see crossover amusement and bulk vending concepts like this doing well in supermarkets, pizzerias, buffets and quick-serve restaurants."
Benchmark's bulk vending line was designed in-house and will be produced at the company's Florida factory.
