NEW YORK CITY -- TouchTunes Corp. has named Charles Goldstuck its new chief executive officer, according to an announcement by TouchTunes chairman Bill Meder. Goldstuck, who was formerly president and chief operating officer of Bertelsmann Music Group (U.S.), succeeds Meder, who has served as chief executive on an interim basis since September 2008.

At BMG, Goldstuck oversaw the business operations of the company's label group, which includes a half dozen labels under RCA Music and Zomba. The labels are home to such superstar artists Usher, Alicia Keys, Whitney Houston, Dave Matthews Band, Chris Daughtry and Foo Fighters, along with OutKast, Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown, Sarah McLachlan, Rod Stewart and Avril Lavigne, among many others.

"Charles is a proven business leader in the multichannel, multiproduct environment, encompassing the fully integrated distribution of music, digital marketing and entertainment," Meder said. "He has a clear, forward- thinking strategy for the company that we are confident is going to take TouchTunes to the next level."

Goldstuck began his career in music with Warner/Chapell Music in Los Angeles, at which he headed up the Latin American division. He later joined Capitol Records, where he rose to executive vice- president, and then moved to New York to serve as executive vice-president and general manager of Arista Records. In 2000, Goldstuck left Arista with Clive Davis to form J Records, a joint venture with BMG, which was eventually merged with RCA Records to form the RCA Music Group. In 2004, he became president and COO of BMG (US).

"TouchTunes is clearly a leader in digital interactive entertainment and is one of those rare media companies that is growing rapidly," Goldstuck said. "I look forward to building on their great success."
