ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL -- Incredible Technologies has published a handbook describing how to conduct Golden Tee contests and promotions, along with league organization. The handbook was developed in response to many requests from operators, the company explained.
Hard copies of the free 32-page booklet have been sent to IT's customer base of more than 2,000 operating companies. It also is available for download from the Operator Services section of IT's website, itsgames.com.
The handbook contains six sections, each addressing one type of promotion or campaign. The first describes the use of IT's Facts Live and AdWiz Live tools to track gameplay and communicate with players. The second explains how an operator can conduct an online contest from an office computer, and the third details the conduct of on-premises contests and tournaments involving locations with one or several machines.
The fourth section describes combination online/live contests, e.g. an online tournament that culminates in an exciting live finals event. The fifth explores starting and running a Golden Tee league, and explains why Golden Tee leagues continue to proliferate and expand. The final section offers an overview of Golden Tee loyalty programs, which reward players for their repeated play and thus build revenue from their repeat business.
Various formats for each type of event are presented, along with specific goals.
"This is a best practices handbook," said Gary Colabuono, IT's marketing director. "We took success stories from across the country, distilled them down to their most important elements, and presented them in this booklet in an easy-to-follow, step-by-step format.
"This guide is a Golden Tee roadmap to success for operators," Colabuono said, "whether you have one Golden Tee on your route or 101."
