NAMA Lauds ‘09 Certified Executive Program Graduates, Postgrads

CHICAGO -- The National Automatic Merchandising Association has lauded 14 graduates of its NAMA Certified Executive program and 10 previous graduates who qualified for recertification this year.

Of the 14 newly certified graduates, seven are Crane Merchandising Systems employees: Steve Booth, Glen Brown, Randy Conklin, Donald Hovde, Glen Kalhar, Steven Sprinkle and Alberto Velez.

Also receiving their NCE certificates are Heidi Chico, U-Select-It, a member of NAMA’s board of directors; Shawn Finnerty, Vistar; Terry Hovis, Cantaloupe Systems; Kim Lockie, McMurray Coin Machines Ltd.; Chuck Reed, MEI; Timothy Taylor, D&S/Davians; and Pat Tinkle, Aramark.

Industry leaders recertified as NCEs are Stu Case, Burdette Beckmann Inc.; Todd Elliot, Tomdra Inc.; Richard Geerdes, NAMA; Richard Harvey, A&R Services; Craig Hesch, A.H. Management Group; Stanley Ledbetter, RE Services-Canteen Franchise Group; Don McDaniel, McDaniel’s Snack and Vending Services; Mark Scott, Canteen of Coastal CA; Stanislav Urzhumtsev, Marketing Solutions LLC; and Oleg Volkov, Avtobar JSC

Joann DeNardis, NAMA associate director, OneShow and member services, observed that NCE certification "acknowledges a lifetime’s investment of hard work, dedication and commitment to success. NAMA is extremely proud of these industry leaders.

"If you are serious about advancing your career in the vending, coffee service and foodservice management industries, the NCE designation is vital," she continued.

To earn NCE certification, a member must demonstrate experience, leadership, drive and commitment to the industry. Candidates must also pass a written exam. Every five years, all NCEs must maintain their certification status by recertification. Points are given for work experience, continuing education and continuing leadership; there is no exam.
