Todd Elliott, Tomdra, NAMA, vending CHICAGO -- The National Automatic Merchandising Association has named Todd Elliott, vice-president and general manager of Tomdra Inc. (Tucson, AZ), its 2013 Vending Operator of the Year.

"Todd was chosen for this award because of his focus on customers, innovation and leading edge technology," said NAMA executive vice-president and chief operating officer Dan Mathews. "Additionally, he helps lead the effort to provide consumers with important nutrition information they need through NAMA's Balanced for Life and Fit Pick programs."

A second-generation operator, Elliott grew up in the family business, which was founded in 1966. A graduate of the University of Arizona, he has helped lead Tomdra's growth for 23 years. His long involvement in industry affairs includes serving as president of the Arizona Automatic Merchandising Council for a decade; he is a current member of NAMA's board of directors. He is active in his church, and is an accomplished musician in his family's band, sometimes performing at industry functions.

NAMA's Industry Awards program recognizes members' leadership and achievements in vending and refreshment services, and in the communities where they do business. In addition to supporting NAMA and its state associations, award-winners must be innovative, demonstrate a willingness to expand conventional practices and consistently adhere to principles that accord with the NAMA Code of Ethics.
