NEWMARKET, ON, Canada -- Beaver Machine Corp. is now offering a coin mechanism that can be installed into Gacha bulk vending machines. Beaver's Gacha coin mech kit was released last year in limited numbers, and the manufacturer said it has received good feedback from operators.

The coin mech retrofit kit installs Beaver's New Generation (NG) mechanism in a Gacha machine, made by the former Tomy-Yujin Corp. The upgrade will improve Gacha's money-handling accuracy at points of sale and longevity on vending routes.

Beaver's NG coin mechanisms feature a clutch handle to protect against internal damage that may be caused by forced turns and other factors. According to the manufacturer, NG coin mechanisms can gauge the width and diameter of coins more accurately than any other rotary mech on the market. These features will help keep aging Gacha venders in good working order, the manufacturer noted.

The Gacha vending machine consists of four heads unified beneath a display case. Each head can hold approximately 120 capsules, 2" in diameter. The display shows consumers exactly what they are buying, helping to increase sales. Multiple units can be linked together by plates to create an impressive vending bank.

The machine was made by Japanese toy giant Tomy Co. Ltd., which shuttered its North American vending division, Tomy-Yujin, in 2009. Tomy put the vending business under the direction of its European division, which formed Gacha International to handle machine parts, support and sales.

Founded in 1963 as Machine-O-Matic, Beaver manufactures bulk venders, coin mechanisms and equipment stands.
