ALEXANDRIA, VA -- The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions has hired two executives to work on IAAPA exhibitions and conferences.
Ryan Strowger has joined the association as vice-president of exhibitions, conferences and sales. He will oversee the expansion of IAAPA's main trade shows: Asian Attractions Expo, Euro Attractions Show and IAAPA Attractions Expo. He is also responsible for conferences and will manage the exhibit, ad and sponsorship sales teams.
Strowger has 20 years of experience in show management and development. He was recently director of business development for the International CES (Consumer Electronics Show).
Amy Pepin is IAAPA's new manager of conference, trade show and meeting operations. She comes to the parks association with six years of event-planning experience, most recently at John Snow Inc., a public health research firm, where she planned conferences in Africa, Asia and the Caribbean. She previously was educational programming manager for the American Resort Development Association.
Strowger and Pepin are based at IAAPA's global headquarters here.
