CAMDEN, NJ -- Campbell Soup Co. has named Joshua Anthony vice-president of global nutrition and health.
He will lead Campbell's nutrition team in research and development and will be responsible for driving strategies for health and wellness focused on vegetables and whole grains. He will also head up efforts to advance the company's weight-management and sodium-reduction initiatives.
Anthony joins Campbell after 10 years with Bristol-Myers Squibb/Mead Johnson Nutrition, where he was most recently director of research and development in the global infant category. Prior to that, Anthony conducted skin care research at Unilever.
Anthony earned his Ph.D. in cellular and molecular physiology at Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. He holds an adjunct faculty position at the Indiana University School of Medicine and is chair of the Endocrinology and Metabolism Section of the American Physiological Society.
