LAS VEGAS -- Insert Coin(s), the nightclub that features classic coin-op games on Fremont Street here, is opening a second store in Minneapolis.
Owners Chris LaPorte, a former healthcare professional, and Stefano Sinicropi, who came from the automobile industry, launched the original Vegas venue about a year ago.
LaPorte told a Minnesota news outlet that he hopes eventually to roll out an Insert Coin(s) bar in every major U.S. city, leading to city vs. city videogame tournaments. | SEE STORY
Insert Coin(s) offers console and arcade gaming in a highly socialized setting. It opened in Las Vegas with 45 arcade cabinets, most of them classics like Double Dragon or Rampage set to play at 50ยข. The club also features many vintage home consoles, retrofitted for use with modern displays.
