NORTHFIELD, IL -- Kraft Foods Inc. and Israel's SodaStream Intl. Ltd. have expanded their partnership to bring Kraft-branded beverages to the SodaStream soda-making system with the addition of Kool-Aid.
The initial sparkling Kool-Aid flavor choices will be cherry, grape and tropical punch. These complement the existing co-branded portfolio, introduced in January, which includes several varieties of Crystal Light and Country Time lemonade. | SEE STORY
Airport City, Israel-based SodaStream manufactures beverage carbonation systems that transform tap water into carbonated soft drinks and sparkling water. It sells its equipment, flavors, carbon dioxide refills and reusable carbonation bottles around the world.
"The Kool-Aid brand will be a great addition to the current lineup we've developed with SodaStream," said Doug Weekes, vice-president of beverages for Kraft Foods. "We're pleased with the early success of Crystal Light and Country Time and believe that adding Kool-Aid will attract even more people to enjoy our flavors with personally-made carbonation.”
The companies plan to launch the Kool-Aid lineup during the fourth quarter.
