HACKETTSTOWN, NJ -- Mars Chocolate North America has taken the wraps off the newest additions to its M&M's and 3 Musketeers brands. The chocolate giant has also enhanced its Dove Singles bars.
The 3 Musketeers Coconut bar adds coconut flavor to the brand's signature fluffy chocolate nougat and is coated in the traditional milk chocolate. Mars announced in May that it had updated its 3 Musketeers bar with a richer chocolate taste. The 75-year-old brand's first adaptation came in 2007 with the launch of 3 Musketeers Mint, followed by the 2010 addition of 3 Musketeers Truffle Crisp.
Also new from Mars are M&M's Mint Dark candies with a mint-flavored dark chocolate center, finished with the brand's trademark crunchy candy shell. The M&M's brand has grown over the years to include pretzel, peanut, peanut butter, dark chocolate, dark chocolate peanut, coconut and almond varieties, in addition to original milk chocolate.
3 Musketeers Coconut and M&M's Dark Mint will both be available for vending beginning December.
Starting in January, Dove Singles in milk and dark chocolate varieties will feature 10% more chocolate and will sell for the same price. The bars will be wider and will have smaller segments to better suit on-the-go consumption. Colorful new package graphics draw consumer attention and differentiate flavor offerings. A multimedia marketing campaign will support the Dove Singles relaunch.
