SCOTTSDALE, AZ – The National Bulk Vendors Association reported that key elected officers have resigned from the association. As a result, NBVA's board of directors has appointed interim executives, as the association prepares for its annual convention in April.
The board has named Lauri Logue of Brand Vending Products vice-president, a post previously held by Steve Siegel, Great Amusement Vending Machine Co. (Hauppauge, NY). Andrew Belsky, First Vending Partners (Walled Lake, MI), replaces Bernie Schwarzli as treasurer; Schwarzli still holds the post of interim president. Steve Schechner, Capital Vending (Florence, AL), steps into the secretary's spot, succeeding Mark Pogue, MEPCO (Fresno, CA).
Dan Case, Tejas Vending (Round Rock, TX), resigned as chairman of the association's Ways and Means Committee. He is succeeded by Belsky.
"What this means is that we still have a full lineup of officers going into the show and elections will proceed as scheduled," said NBVA's administrator Amy Comtre.
The 60th annual NBVA trade show and convention will be held from April 8 through 10 at the Ramada Orlando Celebration Resort and Convention Center in Kissimmee, FL.See the NBVA convention story.
Schwarzli took over as interim president last fall, following the resignation of Coinstar's Randy Chilton. A formal election for a new president and officers will be held at the 2010 convention.
