PENNSAUKEN, NJ -- J&J Snack Foods Corp. has completed its acquisition of ConAgra Foods' frozen handheld business, announced on April 18. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

ConAgra's handheld lines include dough-enrobed products sold under the Hand Fulls, Holly Ridge Bakery, Patio, Top Picks and Villa Taliano brands, as well as private labels. The business reportedly generates $50 million in annual sales.

The handheld products are produced at facilities in Holly Ridge, NC, and Weston, OR. The two USDA-approved manufacturing facilities turn out a wide variety of enrobed products from sweet to savory and "healthy" or indulgent, as well as individual retail and bulk foodservice packs.

J&J Snack Foods, headquartered in Pennsauken, NJ, is known for niche snack food offerings. They include Superpretzel, pretzel fillers and other soft pretzels; Mary B's biscuits and dumplings; Daddy Ray's fig and fruit bars; Tio Pepe's and California churros; Mrs. Goodcookie, Camden Creek, Country Home and Readi-Bake cookies, and funnel cakes.
