CLEVELAND -- Vendors Exchange International Inc. has upgraded the software for its MIND touchscreen display, whose name stands for "make informed nutritional decisions." The new Display Builder Version 2.0 makes it easier for operators to program and design their screens and allows them to provide a more engaging interactive experience for the vending customer.
Operators who equip their machines with VEII's MIND device access a website to download screenshots of products and nutritional information that match their machines' planograms, and save the files to SD cards that are inserted into the MIND control board. The new software not only allows patrons to view nutritional content for each product before they make a purchase, but also allows operators to leverage their 5.7" or 7" MIND displays to engage customers with interactive slide shows, advertising, promotions and public service announcements like tips for healthy eating.
VEII reports that operators have installed several thousand retrofittable MIND touchscreens in hospitals, universities and other nutrition-minded locations since it released the technology in 2010.
Based in Cleveland, VEII supplies new and reconditioned vending machines, replacement parts, upgrade kits, and a wide variety of tools, accessories and components. Its electronics repair service offers pickup and delivery within a limited service area.
