CHRIS WARREN TAKES OVER AS AMOA PRESIDENT
CHICAGO - (Posted March 11) Chris Warren of Capital Music (Helena, MT) has agreed to move up from the first vice-president's chair to assume the role of president of the Amusement and Music Operators Association, effective immediately, said executive vice-president Jack Kelleher. He explained that AMOA's bylaws provide for such a succession in case of an officer vacancy. "The association grooms its officers for promotion by moving them through the chairs, yet nothing could really prepare a person for stepping into the president's role under such tragic and unexpected circumstances," Kelleher told VT. "To a person, our executive committee is committed to fully supporting Chris as he takes on these weighty responsibilities." AMOA bylaws also stipulate that the board shall address the question of promoting its other officers (or leaving them in place) at its next regular meeting. The AMOA board is slated to hold its annual midyear conference in St. Petersburg, FL from March 15-18.
