CHICAGO -- The National Automatic Merchandising Association will again feature a Corporate Social Responsibility Showcase at its Spring Expo and is calling for companies who want to share their sustainability efforts. The deadline for exhibitors interested in participating is April 1. The exposition will be held April 16-17 in Las Vegas.

Relocated to the entrance of the show floor (in the Mandalay Bay Convention Center) for maximum visibility, the display will showcase companies who are ahead of the curve in improving the quality of life for their employees, their diversity efforts, or their work with community outreach or the environment.

Participating exhibitors can display food and beverage products, eco-friendly packaging and marketing materials, as well as vending machines and other equipment that demonstrates a commitment to social and environmental responsibility. Complimentary space is available to all exhibitors; for $500, companies can reserve a larger showcase area and benefit from additional advertising opportunities, including a pre-show promotional mailer.

Clif Bar & Co., Peet's Coffee and Tea, Nestlé Waters North America, Timothy's Coffees of the World Inc. and Crane Merchandising Systems are among the many companies that will be participating in this year's Corporate Social Responsibility Showcase.

"It is the most effective way to spread the word about your organization's sustainability efforts, by displaying new eco-friendly packaging, supporting causes in the community or continuing to diversify your workforce and employee policies," commented NAMA manager of human resources Joann DeNardis.

Separately, Coke Vending Australia has awarded Steve Rehn of Rehn Enterprises Party Ltd., one of 150 contract "customer service operators" who service its vending machines, a trip to the upcoming Spring Expo. Rehn won the national competition between all 150 of CV Australia's full-time customer service operators by earning the most points for machine performance, cash and product variance and overall customer service.

"Customer service operators are the contracted drivers who service the vending machines and are the main catalyst for improving customer service," said Gary Meier, CV Australia general manager. "To instill a best-in-class culture throughout the year, the company decided to sponsor a national competition."v

CV Australia national sales execution manager Lachlan Robertson and commercial manager Stephanie Carroll will accompany Rehn on his trip to Las Vegas. NAMA executive vice-president and COO Dan H. Mathews said the association will congratulate Rehn and welcome him and his colleagues with a personalized tour of the trade show floor.
