BUFFALO, NY -- Rosina Food Products Inc. has acquired the assets of the San Rallo Pasta business from Mitsui Foods Inc. (Norwood, NJ).
Rosina president and chief executive Russell Corigliano said the acquisition is consistent with the company's strategic growth plan. The opportunity to continue the longstanding tradition of San Rallo Pasta's "superior products and service is an excellent prospect for Rosina," he explained.
Rosina is considering options regarding increasing the production capability of its West Seneca, NY, pasta and entrée facility. This could include the installation of equipment acquired as part of this transaction, the company noted.
Rosina Food Products is a premier manufacturer of frozen protein, pasta and entrées. Family-owned, it operates two facilities in New York State: frozen meatball, sausage and pizza topping products are produced in Cheektowaga, while frozen pasta, eggplant and entrée products are produced in West Seneca.
Rosina products are sold nationally and internationally. They enjoy a strong presence in retail, foodservice, military and industrial channels.
