ecastMELROSE PARK, IL -- New from Stern Pinball is Iron Man Pinball, a fast-paced flipper game based on Marvel Studios’ popular superhero movie and timed to coincide with its sequel, "Iron Man 2," which is set to open on May 7. Stern believes that the new game will be a big hit with fans of the internationally acclaimed Marvel comic books, animated TV show and films.

The new flipper game features speech, art and dot-matrix display images of Iron Man characters, including Tony Stark (the metallic superhero’s everyday persona) and Iron Man, Whiplash, War Machine, Rhodey, Iron Monger, Pepper Potts, Black Widow and others. The soundtrack features songs from the "Iron Man" film score.

Whiplash challenges players with his ball-catching mechanism that, if his nefarious trap is sprung, whips the ball around the playfield.

Other adversaries include War Machine, an antisocial automaton who attempts to fire the ball back toward the flippers, and Iron Monger, who rises up through the playfield, ready for combat. The game also features two elevated ramps and is designed to offer extensive multiball action.

“We’ve had tremendous success with all of our comic book superhero movie-themed games,” said Stern Pinball president Gary Stern. “I expect Iron Man to be our best.”

Iron Man Pinball is available from Stern distributors and retailers. Information on local availability may be requested by calling Jim Belt at (708) 786-7039 or Shelley Sax at (708) 786-7030.
