SPRINGFIELD, IL -- The Illinois Gaming Board has issued the state's first manufacturing and distribution licenses to companies that plan to build or sell video lottery terminals in the coming VLT market.
Two licenses, covering both VLT manufacturing and distribution, were issued to Incredible Technologies. VLT distribution licenses were also issued to American Vending Sales and to American Gaming & Electronics, a subsidiary of Wells Gardner Electronics.
IT said the approval permits the company to sell its Magic Touch Illinois Video Gaming Terminal (VGT) Collection of video slot and poker games directly to licensed operators when the Video Gaming Act ultimately goes into effect.
IT plans to offer over 30 video slot and poker games purpose-built for the Illinois market, including a slot machine themed on Golden Tee Golf, IT's classic amusement videogame. SEE RELEASE
American Vending Sales said its distributor license will allow it to sell video gaming machines to licensed operators. AVS represents video gaming terminals made by International Game Technology. | SEE RELEASE
News that the state's first VLT licenses have been issued follows two successive meetings of the IGB -- one open to the public, one behind closed doors -- in Chicago on Aug. 9.
In attendance were more than a dozen corporate applicants for manufacturing and distribution licenses under the state's upcoming video lottery system.
Among the other applicants for VLT manufacturer or distributor licenses in Illinois are Aristocrat Technologies, Bally Gaming, Elite Casino Products, H. Betti Industries, IGT, JCM American, Moss Gaming, MTD Gaming, WMS Gaming and Happ IL Distribution.
