Cotton Candy Factories Begin Shipping

by Staff Reporter

VendEverLAS VEGAS -- VendEver Corp. said its automated cotton candy machine is now shipping to operators. The Cotton Candy Factory is manufactured for VendEver in Taiwan by Feiloli Electronic Co., which now has the machine's production line moving at full speed, according to VendEver president Brian Duke. VendEver plans to move production to the U.S. in four months to help meet growing demand.

Duke reported that shipments of the first production models were delayed in order to accommodate several design modifications suggested by VendEver's technical services director, Vaughn Williamson. Prototypes of the Cotton Candy Factory were on display at the Amusement Expo in Las Vegas, where Williams and seasoned vending operators put the new vending machine on trial.

Duke said better-than-expected early demand has exceeded supply. He added that increased production capacity overseas would allow the company to catch up on orders some time in June, when it begins gearing up for domestic manufacturing.

The first Cotton Candy Factory was purchased by Pete Schwartz of Pursuit Zone, an equipment distributor serving operators of centers for laser tag, bowling and roller skating, who Duke described as a longtime friend. The VendEver president said he believes design simplicity and serviceability are the machine's key selling points.

VendEver's machine makes a serving of cotton candy on a stick in less than a minute. It is equipped with a self-cleaning mechanism that's activated after every 10 vends to scour the sides of the candy bowl. The cleaning system prevents sticky buildup that could impair product quality. Read more about the Cotton Candy Factory.
