BRISTOL, PA -- AMI Entertainment's Megatouch Games Division is preparing a June launch of the latest event for Tournamaxx and Tournamaxx Classic.
During June, players can compete for prizes on Play4 Crossword, a word game and crossword puzzle hybrid. AMI's release of Tournamaxx Classic has enabled players to participate both through Megatouch legacy machines and the new Megatouch ML-1.
Play4 Crossword was made for players who enjoy the fun of crossword puzzles presented in a fresh, challenging format. "Players need fast and furious fingers to figure out the eight fused four-letter words," AMI explained. As an added challenge, they can also try to beat the "perfectly played" challenge by solving an entire round without guessing a wrong letter.
Released in December as a free upgrade for ML-1 operators, Tournamaxx Classic brings the Tournamaxx system's revenue potential to AMI's next-generation hardware. Tournamaxx Classic provides the same gameplay as existing Ion machines, so ML-1 units can take part seamlessly in Tournamaxx events -- and operators can bring the Tournamaxx experience to an even wider audience.
As part of its commitment to operators, AMI has been supporting and promoting the launch of the Tournamaxx Classic system through player notifications, social media outreach and idle mode attract videos on ML-1 machines. Future tournament plans call for more games coming to Tournamaxx and Tournamaxx Classic.
