CHICAGO -- Water treatment specialist Everpure said it continues to keep its 75-year-old promise to deliver innovative water treatment products that address the changing needs of the foodservice industry. At this year's National Restaurant Association trade show in Chicago, which opens this week, Everpure will demonstrate its commitment by showcasing a wide array of products that are designed to meet environmental needs and the cost challenges faced by today's foodservice operators.
Everpure's marketing manager, Roy Parker, said the company's water treatment products cut operators' costs by saving energy and space, and address environmental concerns by conserving water. Everpure will be in NRA Show booth No. 5923.
Everpure said its MRS-600 HE (high efficiency) reverse osmosis system, formally known as the MRS Envi-RO 600, is the highest efficiency system of its kind. As traditional reverse osmosis systems tend to produce a large amount of water waste and consume excess energy, the company reported that the MRS-600 HE is designed to dramatically reduce water waste while consuming less energy, leading to reduced costs.
Parker points out that many operators don't realize that even the most energy efficient equipment can be quickly diminished by scale buildup in water. Other water quality issues like hardness, TDS levels, chlorine and chloramines can also have negative effects on equipment and the bottom line.
However, not every foodservice provider needs a reverse osmosis system, Parker advises. Everpure's Smartworks, a turnkey water analysis program, provides dealers and operators with an easy method for testing water. The free program includes a water test kit, a water analysis report for operators and an easy-to-use sizing/solutions program for dealers. In the near future, the program will enable a merchandising feature, which could be used to increase operator interest and education on water treatment while simultaneously creating leads and simplified solutions for dealers.
Additionally, Everpure offers the Exubera Pro Premium Water System, which lets restaurant operators serve their own premium carafe water and, thus, reduce their dependency on serving prepackaged water, which potentially impacts the environment. Exubera can also be used to produce Artisan Draft Water.
Everpure has been manufacturing commercial water treatment products worldwide since 1933. In 2004, the company became part of the Pentair Inc.'s (Golden Valley, MN) Water Technologies Group. For the second consecutive year, NRA is presenting one its Kitchen Innovation Awards to Everpure.
