Dynamo Short Shot

GRAND PRAIRE, TX -- Now available from Valley-Dynamo is Short Shot, a big-featured table for pint-size players.

With a footprint that's 66" long x 33" wide, the 29" high Short Shot is perfectly sized for young players to manage yet large enough for adult players negotiate. This just-the-right-size configuration encourages family competition.

"With the current small air hockey tables out there, I would have to get down on my knees to play," explained Valley-Dynamo's Dave Courington. "We've eliminated that issue with the size of the table. And we now have an air hockey table for everyone's needs."

Courington explained that it's typically not the height of the table that hinders children from playing, but how far they can reach into the playfield with their arms. Short Shot's 29" height is just a bit lower than standard tables, but its 66" length is significantly shorter than the 99.5" of the company's Fire Storm and other full-size tables. It employs a standard-size mallet and smaller 2.75"-diameter puck, compared with the regulation 3.5" size. The reduced diameter makes the puck proportional to the playfield.

As with other air hockey tables in the Valley-Dynamo family, Short Shot features easily adjustable leg levelers, jam-proof infrared optical scoring and cheat-proof coin mechs, along with the Dyna-Blast blower system and impact-resistant Formica laminate playfield. It is also equipped with dual ticket dispensers, protective shields, and a complement of LED lighting and sound packages.
