MINNEAPOLIS -- General Mills has taken the wraps off its first ready-to-eat snack under the iconic Betty Crocker brand. Also new is a low-calorie, high-fiber Fiber One brownie.
The Betty Crocker Sweet Rewards Turtle bar combines a cookie base with caramel, chocolate and nuts. Leveraging the widely recognized cake mix brand, the 1.95-oz. bar has a suggested $1.25 vend price.
The new 90-calorie Fiber One chocolate fudge brownie has 5g. of fiber -- 20% of the daily-recommended value. It capitalizes on the popular General Mills Fiber One cereal brand and its many line extensions. The suggested retail price for the 0.89-oz. brownie is 85¢.
Both products are making a high-profile debut as part of the National Automatic Merchandising Association's Gratitude Tour, a multi-city, mobile marketing tour.
