VERNON HILLS, IL -- Incredible Technologies reports that operators of its PowerPutt Live 2013 miniature golf simulator now can present customized messages on the game's marquee.
The company notes that the eye-catching replica of a traditional dot-matrix segmented display pays homage to the scrolling LED signs installed on thousands of IT's classic Golden Tee Fore cabinets in the early 2000s. On PowerPutt Live 2013, the animated luminous red text can be seen from across the room as it publicizes high scores, highlights game features and describes daily prizes to prospective players.
IT explained that operators now can use a "Manage PowerPutt Messages" link at their ITNet accounts to create text for download to any or all of their PowerPutt Live games. A game can accommodate as many as three messages for display. A library at the website may be used to store messages for periodic or occasional reuse.
"The scrolling marquee really catches the eye of everyone in the location," said IT sales vice-president Don Pesceone. "This is the perfect vehicle for operators who want to announce contests or set up leagues." The marquee is "prime real estate" that also might yield new revenue from advertising location specials and events, as well as other local businesses, he pointed out.
PowerPutt LIVE 2013 is fully compatible with FACTS and AdWiz online software, which can be used to design and conduct easy-to-run contests and promotions, according to Incredible Technologies. PowerPutt also is very well suited to in-house and traveling leagues, since as many as eight players can play together at a fairly fast rate, the company added.
In a related development, PowerPutt Live 2013 "Play Here" posters now can be downloaded here. A demonstration of PowerPutt Live 2013 may be viewed on YouTube, and current events and news related to the game are posted on IT's Livewire.
