This is the second consecutive year that the state association has selected the urban Bloomington venue, which offers affordable lodging. MOMA executive director Chuck Leininger estimates that all combined meeting and hotel costs should be less than $150 a day per member, the same as last year.
Founded in 1967 as the Music Operators of Minnesota, the association added "amusements" to its name in 1984 to reflect all coin- and currency-activated equipment that its members operate in the state. MOMA began a scholarship fund in 1991. It sponsors leagues and tournaments for dart and pool throughout Minnesota.
Information on the upcoming MOMA summer conference and Twins game can be had by calling Leininger at (612) 363-2894 or emailing chuckleininger@hotmail.com. Registration and schedule forms can be downloaded here.
