Ecast Adds 3 'Best Of' Playlists To Interactive Juke Network
SAN FRANCISCO -- Now available on jukeboxes
connected to Ecast Inc.'s network are
three "Best Of" playlists that highlight the
upcoming Grammy Awards, 2009's top network play
and last year's most popular emerging artists.
Because 'Best Of' collections from the previous
year enjoy a relatively short shelf life with out-of-home
consumers, the music company explained, each
playlist will appear for a limited time on the Ecast
network, allowing operators to boost single-song
download earnings while patron interest is highest.
The three new playlists are:
Ecast Best of
2009. This year's collection showcases the
most played 15 songs on the Ecast network from
albums released in 2009. With chart-topping artists
like Taylor Swift, Black Eyed Peas, Nickleback, Jay-Z
and Dave Matthews Band all experiencing multiple
hits off their single album releases, Ecast said its list
pulls together "the very best of the best."

Ecast Best of Emerging Artists 2009.
the ear-to-the-underground music enthusiasts at
Ecast, this playlist is aimed at trendsetting patrons who
are considered to be ahead of the music popularity
curve. It offers demanding jukebox patrons a collection
of songs from talented artists who are flying just under
the radar, Ecast reported.
Best of the
Grammy's 2009. Prepping patrons for the
biggest award night in music, this playlist blends
nominated and representative songs from albums that
are up for the coveted awards. The 52 annual Grammy Awards will air Jan.
31 on CBS, and Beyonce and Taylor Swift are leading

TouchTunes Sweepstake Promotes Country Star Miranda Lambert
NEW YORK CITY -- Fans of country singer Miranda

promotion on TouchTunes Interactive
Networks, the company said. Jukebox
patrons can enter by using interactive entry forms on
TouchTunes screens at participating locations
nationwide, or online through the TouchTunes fan
page on Facebook. The promotion
went live on Jan. 12 and runs through Jan. 26.
Vicki Saunders, TouchTunes's vice-president for digital
media and music marketing, said Lambert consistently
tops the network's popularity charts. The artist's hit single
"White Liar," from her recent album release Revolution
(Sony Music), was on the top 10 of the Billboard Country
Charts as the promotion began.
