CHICAGO -- The National Automatic Merchandising Association is heading to The Big Easy this fall for its fifth Coffee, Tea & Water Show. The single largest education and networking event for coffee, tea and water service operators nationwide will be held at the New Orleans Hyatt Regency from Nov. 13 to 15.
The confab will mass tabletop exhibits by more than 100 suppliers, 15 education sessions, keynote speakers and networking receptions. For the first time, both of NAMA's Quality Coffee Certificate Program (QCCP) workshops -- Coffee Fundamentals and Brewing Fundamentals -- will be offered during the Coffee, Tea & Water Show.
A record 89 suppliers participated in the tabletop-networking event last fall, where they shared their newest innovative equipment, software technology and products. | SEE STORY
NAMA director of coffee and water service Roger Stewart said that hosting the event in New Orleans is a good first step toward topping last year's success. "New Orleans is rich in coffee history, is the second-largest port of entry for green coffee and boasts some of the finest restaurants in the country," he commented. "It's the perfect spot to learn how to build your business and it's a venue perfectly suited for casual business entertainment."
Stewart added that the hotel has recently been renovated, following damage from Hurricane Katrina, and offers the convenience of a streetcar line that runs right in front for easy access to the French Quarter and city nightlife.
