AAMA, AMOA Leaders To Lobby Congress Feb. 26-27
TAGS: dollar coin, coin machine industry, jukebox industry, amusement business, vending, American Amusement Machine Association, Amusement and Music Operators Association
WASHINGTON -- Leaders of the American Amusement Machine Association will make their quarterly visit to Capitol Hill on Feb. 26 and 27 to meet with members of the new Congress. Officials of the Amusement and Music Operators Association will join the AAMA delegation.
The associations did not disclose which issues would be the focus of their visit, other than to say they would discuss matters of interest to the industry. AAMA has made dollar coins a top priority on recent lobbying trips. But AMOA president Andy Shaffer told Vending Times last year that the operators' association is neutral on the issue, reflecting divided opinions among its membership. | SEE STORY
AAMA president John Schultz said the associations are "pleased to be working together as one industry to protect our members." Schultz will join two past-chairmen of AAMA, David Cohen of Firestone Financial and Rick Kirby of Betson, during February's trip to the nation's capital.
Representing AMOA will be president Andy Shaffer of Shaffer Services (Columbus, OH), first vice-president John Pascaretti of Pascaretti Enterprises (Warren, MI) and executive vice-president Jack Kelleher.
