SAN FRANCISCO -- Del Monte Foods has appointed consumer goods veteran M. Carl Johnson III executive vice-president of brands.
Johnson will be responsible for the majority of Del Monte's consumer brands and its pet brands. He will oversee marketing and consumer insights groups, marketing services, research and development and innovation.
Johnson came to Del Monte from the Campbell Soup Co., where he was senior vice-president and chief strategy officer. Prior to joining Campbell, Johnson served in several senior executive posts at Kraft Foods.
