HACKETTSTOWN, NJ -- Mars is building a buzz around two of its hottest chocolate brands with the addition of two new line extensions.
Snickers Peanut Butter Squared, in a 1.78-oz. package, features two square-shaped bars that add a layer of peanut butter to Snickers' trademark blend of peanuts, caramel and nougat, which is covered in milk chocolate.
Mars said the tests of the twin pack candy bar, debuting in December, have surpassed trials of all candy bars it's launched over the past three years. The company is supporting the launch with a comprehensive marketing campaign that includes television, print and online.
Shipping in April, in time for Easter, is new limited-edition Twix Coconut Cookie Bars. It blends the exotic taste of coconut into Twix's signature caramel, atop a crisp cookie bar, coated with creamy milk chocolate. Each 1.79-oz. pack, with bright, beach-themed graphics, contains two bars.
Both of the new candy bars feature front-of-pack calorie information.
