SALT LAKE CITY -- Now available from OK Manufacturing is a new graphics package for its popular Gravity Hill, a coin-in/prize-out skill game. New graphics not only refresh the look of the game that has been on the market for a decade, but also re-themes it.
The update renames the game Trucks vs. Ice. It's available as either an option on new games from the factory or a retrofit to spruce up existing units in the field. Players still use the side-to-side rocking controls to manipulate a ball up the side of a mountain, or against gravity. Reach the top and win.
And now they can imagine the ball as a big rig truck negotiating an icy road. The game stores and dispenses large and small prizes in capsules; a small prize is usually awarded with every play.
According to OK's Heidi Olsen-Hughey, Gravity Hill has been praised by operators as a good earner and for working well on location, but they've told her "it's a little played out" because everybody's seen it. "So we changed the cabinet to a beautiful blue and the graphics to icy white with some big trucks," she said. "It's a fresh face on an established game."
The graphics kit includes decals (laminated vinyl adhesive) for the cabinet's sides, front and header, as well as a new playfield (mountain). Complete and partial graphics packages are available.
