New MyTouchTunes Platform Integrates Social Networks With Jukebox Locations

NEW YORK CITY -- With the world of consumer entertainment options changing fast, TouchTunes Interactive Networks is exploring novel and attractive ways to provide consumers with access to great nightlife experiences, said TouchTunes chief executive Charles Goldstuck.

One way the jukebox company hopes to catalyze that change is through the integration of social networking and mobile applications that can be used on location. The latest myTouchTunes program does this by connecting the virtual community with a physical location.

Originally launched in 2006, myTouchTunes was a standard Web application that allowed jukebox patrons to create personal playlists and access them at locations with jukeboxes running the latest TouchTunes software. The new version, redesigned from the ground up, enables members to create, share and control "the soundtrack to their night" by creating music playlists, sharing them with friends, checking in at local bars, and updating what they're listening to and where they are on Facebook and Twitter.

"MyTouchTunes will be a truly unique, integrated digital media experience for our operators, bar owners, staff and patrons," Goldstuck said.

The new digital platform, which operates in real time, includes a rewards program that allows users to earn free credits every time they play music while logged into a jukebox that supports myTouchTunes applications. Learn more about myRewards.

To strengthen the program's appeal, the interactive jukebox company is planning to roll out mobile applications for smartphones like the iPhone. The myTouchTunes app will give users full control of their jukebox experience. They can use the mobile app to locate a myTouchTunes jukebox or search for music in the TouchTunes library, which now has more than three million songs. On location, users can log into a myTouchTunes jukebox and use their phones to view music content stored locally, make selections and inform other members about their play activity. The official launch date of the iPhone application has not been announced yet.

TouchTunes provides entertainment and marketing solutions to more than 45,000 bars, restaurants and retailers. Customers play close to two million songs across the company's digital jukebox network, on average, every day.
