Warren Friss, Apple Industries GREENVALE, NY -- Warren Friss has joined Apple Industries as president, according to an announcement by Apple founder and chief executive Allen Weisberg. Friss previously served as vice-president and general manager of sports and entertainment at The Topps Co. (New York City).

In his new post, Friss will be responsible for day-to-day business oversight for the photobooth manufacturer. He is also responsible for bringing new products to market and developing new business concepts to generate growth for Apple.

In his previous position at Topps, Friss had been in charge of all activities in its sports and entertainment division. He developed and successfully executed a five-year strategic plan to revitalize Topps's sports cards business after a 15-year decline.

Friss holds a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law. He joined Topps in 1995 as general counsel. Five years later, he conceived and launched the very successful etopps Internet trading cards platform, and subsequently led the sports and entertainment division to dramatic growth. Topps was sold in 2007 to Michael Eisner's Tornante Co. and a leading private equity firm.

Apple Industries is a provider of digital photographic and printing solutions for retail environments all over the world. Its automated imaging products, found in retail stores, movie theaters, restaurants and other high-traffic public locations, include FacePlace, PixPlace, MagazineMe, Photo2Go and Apple Photo Booths Royale and Sapphire. Its equipment is distributed in more than 40 countries.
