TOKYO -- Namco Bandai said financial results for the second quarter of its current fiscal year, ended Sept. 30, showed profits and revenues up compared with the same period of the last fiscal year.
Strong sales of consumer games and a surge in mobile game subscription services were key factors in generating second-quarter revenues of $2.5 billion, an 11.9% increase over revenues generated during the prior fiscal second quarter.
Profits during the recent second quarter also improved, coming in at $102.5 million, a sharp turnaround from the year-ago quarter's $24.3 million loss.
