DALLAS -- Dave & Buster's Inc. has named Dolf Berle president and chief operating officer, according to an announcement by D&B's chief executive Steve King. Berle succeeds Starlette Johnson, who in September resigned her posts of chief operating officer and director.

Berle was most recently executive vice-president of hospitality for ClubCorp USA, the nation's largest operator of private clubs. Prior to that, he served as president of Lucky Strike Entertainment LLC, an upscale bowling concept, as well as chief operating officer of House of Blues Entertainment Inc., a famous chain of live music venues.

"Berle's background made him a perfect fit for our business," King said.

D&B's operates 57 sites nationwide. It is owned by a partnership that includes Oak Hill Capital Partners and the D&B's management team.
