MADRID, Spain -- The European Vending Association (Brussels) has scheduled its next conference, titled "Vending 2020," for Madrid, Spain, for June 10 and 11.
Themed "A Glimpse into the Future of Vending," the conference is being organized with the objective of helping participants anticipate future trends likely to affect the industry over the next decade. An overview of demographic trends, presented by an official of the European Commission, will set the stage for a daylong examination of the changes in society that will impact consumer preferences and the desire for convenience, among other factors.
These forecasts will be delivered by experts from the Datamonitor Institute for Research (London), the organization that coauthors EVA's studies of the vending market and its patrons (see story). They will be followed by a session in which vending industry and related retail business leaders will discuss specific cases.
The event will open on the evening of June 10 with a welcoming dinner in the renowned Real Madrid Stadium (Estadio Santiago Bernabéu). The business sessions will be held on the following day in the host hotel, Madrid's five-star Miguel Ángel.
