PHOENIX -- Enthusiasm for the 62nd annual National Bulk Vendors Association trade show and convention is beginning to pick up steam. Looking to repeat the success of this year's event, the NBVA is again collocating with the Amusement Expo in 2012. The event is scheduled to run from March 14 to 16 (Wednesday through Friday) at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The adjacent Las Vegas Hilton is the host hotel.
"Each year, the NBVA aims to produce a convention that provides entertainment, a great trade show floor, educational programs and opportunity to connect with others in the vending industry," said the NBVA's Amy Contre. "We believe that we've put together the best of all these."
The 2011 bulk vending show, which brought the NBVA into partnership with the Amusement and Music Operators Association and the American Amusement Machine Association, drew a wide audience for bulk vending exhibitors among the amusement operators and simultaneously exposed traditional bulk vendors to different equipment categories. The success of last March's show, Contre said, is now fueling anticipation for the upcoming event.
The Amusement Expo, which combines the former trade shows of the AMOA and AAMA, is relatively new. The first show was held in March 2010. More than 3,000 industry members attended the 2011 edition, also held in March, with more than half of them registered as buyers.
As with NBVA conventions in past years, participants will be eligible for special rates at the Las Vegas Hilton. The discount deadline is Feb. 21. Visit nbva.org or call (888) NBVA-USA for more information.
