MALVERN, PA -- USA Technologies Inc., a leading provider of cashless vending solutions, announced that it has joined the Russell Microcap Index.
Membership in the Russell Microcap Index remains in place for one year. The index measures the performance of the microcap segment of the U.S. equity market. Russell determines membership for its U.S. equity indices by objective rules that include market-capitalization rankings.
"Inclusion in the Russell Microcap Index is an important event for USA Technologies, and we believe it exposes our stock to a wide audience of investment managers," commented USAT chief executive George Jensen. He noted that Russell indexes are widely used as benchmarks for both passive and active investment strategies, and that $3.9 trillion in investment assets are currently benchmarked to them.
The Russell indexes began in the early 1980s to allow investors to objectively measure performance of distinct U.S. market segments and track investment management behavior.
