LAS VEGAS -- The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions will host a three-day educational program in conjunction with the 2011 Amusement Expo. It's set for Monday, Feb. 28, through Wednesday, March 2.
IAAPA chairman Bob Rippy, Jungle Rapids (Wilmington, NC), will welcome registrants and emcee the event. The curriculum includes presentations on FEC trends. Topics include operational safety, retailing, online scheduling, guest service, new ADA regulations and gameroom operation, along with social media, new attractions, cashless operation and party tips.
Speakers include Kelly Bernish of Walt Disney World Parks & Resorts, David Katz of Bonita Marie International, Doug Stagner of Sea World, Tim Sorge of Swings-N-Things, Michael Getlan of Smiles Amusements and Dorothy Lewis of Maxx Fun, among others.
Members of IAAPA, AMOA or AAMA may attend for $199; the nonmember rate is $399 per person. The fee includes admission to the trade show.
