HUMAN Healthy Vending Spots $2M To Reward Locations For Switching To Its Machines

LOS ANGELES -- HUMAN Healthy Vending has committed $2 million in grant funding to locations that sign on for the business opportunity franchisor's services through 2015. The news comes on the heels of its San Diego-based competitor, Fresh Healthy Vending, announcing last month that it had earmarked $1 million for a similar incentive program. | SEE STORY
HUMAN, whose name is an acronym for "helping unite mankind and nutrition," said it will pay schools and businesses up to $1,000 for each vending machine that its franchisees replace with its equipment.
Founded in 2008, HUMAN markets a franchise program for "healthy" food vending. Machines in the program inform consumers about nutrition on high-definition 23"LCDs, mounted on top, that run streaming videos and other digital content.
