CHICAGO -- The Amusement and Music Operators Association has paid a retainer to Circone + Associates, an Ohio-based marketing and advertising agency, to help the association with several strategic ventures, AMOA executive vice-president Jack Kelleher reported.
AMOA officials preferred to keep the specifics of Circone's mission under wraps for now. They said the engagement is an outgrowth of the efforts by the AMOA Program Partnership Development Committee, which was created about a year ago under the direction of AMOA president Gary Brewer of Brewer Amusement (McMinnville, TN).
The focus of the committee, according to the AMOA executive vice-president, is to explore ways to provide more value to members "by leveraging the association's collective resources."
Kelleher said the agency will assist the operators association by "enhancing its value proposition to members and to the industry" and by helping AMOA to develop partnerships inside and outside the marketplace.
Circone + Associates has worked with numerous coin-op organizations. They include BJ Novelty, Global VR, Incredible Technologies and Medalist Marketing Co., along with Merit Entertainment, the Ohio Coin Machine Association, Shaffer Distributing, Shaffer Services, TouchTunes and uWink. The Ohio firm helped to create Musicati, a Web-based service that allows independent artists add their music to jukebox playlists on the AMI Entertainment Network. | SEE STORY
Circone's website said the agency has also worked with national breweries (Coors and Anheuser Busch), hospitality groups, technology firms (AT&T and Nextel) and entertainment conglomerates (Time Warner and Geffen Records).
