SKOKIE, IL -- Play Mechanix is widening the appeal of its popular Terminator Salvation game by introducing two variants. The first is a smaller-footprint version designed primarily for bars, arcades, movie theaters and other locations in which space is at a premium. The second, Terminator Salvation Super Deluxe, incorporates a projection video system for life-size, movie-quality graphics.

The slimline model features a 32" flatscreen display in place of the 42" monitor in the original version, and a smaller, more transportable cabinet. It also is fitted with a new stationary gun system, said to offer improved control over gameplay. The high-definition graphics and "in-your-face" action remain unchanged.

Terminator Salvation Super Deluxe replaces the 42" monitor with a giant 6x8-ft. projection screen. The hostile T-600 machines that battle to subjugate their human adversaries are displayed at full size and in nonstop cinematic action.

Play Mechanix has developed a variety of games with wide appeal, including the Big Buck Hunter line and Deal or No Deal. It merged with Raw Thrills, a longtime collaborator in game design, four years ago. Betson Enterprises (Carlstadt, NJ) manufactures and markets Play Mechanix products.
