ARLINGTON, VA -- The National Automatic Merchandising Association Eastern office has sent out a security alert for operators in southeastern Pennsylvania and adjacent states.
"We have received reports of recent truck break-ins in the Philadelphia area," said Pam Gilbert, NAMA’s senior manager for government affairs.
"At least five trucks have been hit," she reported, "in the morning hours between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. The break-ins occur very quickly: truck locks are cut, safe locks are cut and the money is taken.”
Gilbert urged area operators with information about similar incidents to inform the Eastern office by calling (571) 346-1901, faxing to (703) 836-8262, or emailing her at pgilbert@vending.org
