GREENVALE, NY -- Apple Industries has named Paul Jacobs its vice-president of international sales and marketing, according to an announcement by Apple chief executive Allen Weisberg.
Jacobs' marketing experience spans four decades and several distinct coin-op categories. He has held executive posts with leading amusement machine manufacturers, including SNK Corp. of America, Capcom, Data East and Exidy in California. After relocating to Florida, he became president of BMI Gaming, later directed U.S. kiddie ride sales for Falgas Industries and most recently was sales vice-president of Digital Centre, another photobooth manufacturer. Jacobs also has owned and managed operating and distribution companies.
At Apple Industries, Jacobs will oversee the sales of Apple's Face Place digital photobooths in Europe, Latin America and Asia.
The Apple chief also announced the promotion of Mel LaForce, the company's longtime national sales director, to the new post of vice-president of U.S. sales and marketing.
"We are proud once again to recognize Mel's invaluable contribution to the ongoing success of Apple Industries," Weisberg said. "Every distributor and nearly every operator in America knows and trusts Mel's knowledge and integrity."
