The reformulation retains the iconic candy bar's light, fluffy nougat center wrapped in milk chocolate while adding "more satisfying" chocolate taste to the nougat. Mars is also emphasizing that the new recipe still contains 45% less fat than average leading chocolate brands.
The updated 3 Musketeers will be supported by a national marketing campaign that includes a new television spot beginning May 16, print and digital advertising and in-store and consumer promotions.
Mars launched the 3 Musketeers bar more than 75 years ago. In 2007, it expanded the line with 3 Musketeers Mint, followed by the 2010 addition of 3 Musketeers Truffle Crisp.
