BRISTOL, PA -- AMI Entertainment Network Inc. has released a version of the AMI Bar Link application for Android smartphones, which originally was published for iPhones. The new version offers Android users all the features and functionality of AMI Bar Link for the iPhone. "It's the music you love, right at your fingertips," AMI observed.

AMI Bar Link enables patrons with smartphones to "keep the jams going" at their favorite establishment, right from their seats. Using the app is easy, AMI said. The subscriber simply uses the app's location-finder to search for a venue, signs in with a Megatouch Live account, and starts selecting music on the AMI digital jukebox; an account can be established from within the app. Patrons also can use Bar Link to view information about what's currently playing, and to compile lists of their favorite songs.

Once a user selects a song, funds are pulled from the subscriber's "App Wallet" and sent directly to the jukebox. Patrons can play as much or as little music as they like with each transaction, and can bump their selections to the front of the queue by selecting the Priority Play option for an additional charge.

"AMI Bar Link has been incredibly popular among iPhone users, averaging 1,000 new downloads a week," said AMI Entertainment president and chief executive officer Mike Maas. "We're excited to bring AMI Bar Link to Android users and put it in the hands of an even wider audience."

To increase a machine's visibility through AMI Bar Link, operators need only accurately register the jukebox location with AMI. This simple step takes approximately a minute, and is done online at amientertainment.net.

AMI also is assisting operators to publicize the app with promotional items. AMI Bar Link table tents and posters are available for printing at amientertainment.com/mobile, or by request from an AMI sales representative. AMI also has added new mobile revenue reporting options to its jukeboxes and operator website, so operators can determine how mobile plays contribute to their overall revenue.

AMI Bar Link is now available free through the Android Marketplace, as well as the iTunes App Store. Information on AMI's products and services can be found at amientertainment.com. Operators also can stay up to date on news and promotions at AMI's Facebook page, facebook.com/amirowejukeboxes.
